Iyanu is a London based textile designer and a walking personification of her work. The first of its kind and the beginning of a new generational vanguard of African creatives. Iyanu celebrates her transcultural identity by crossing boundaries and creating a merge between her Nigerian roots with her British upbringing. Her natural instinct in design infiltrates her style aesthetic; resulting in a unique, identifiable signature.

She successfully completed a BA(Hons) in Textile (2013) and was selected for ‘The Cass School of Art & Design postgraduate scholarship where she completed a Masters degree in Fashion & Textile (2014). During her educational design development, she won ‘Hedonism Award’ and ‘Best in Show’ at the graduate exhibition.

IYA₦U continues to push boundaries by fluidly merging the lines between the cultural elements and fashion in Nigeria & Britain respectively. Through a vivid backdrop of colours and prints, creating a newer modification/ re-birth of a new culture as a result.
